मुख्यमंत्र्यांच्या अध्यक्षतेखालील शिष्टमंडळाने दिले राज्यपालांना निवेदन
मुंबई : मराठा आरक्षण देण्यासंदर्भात मा. राष्ट्रपती व केंद्र शासनाने पावले उचलावीत, यासाठी मा.राष्ट्रपती महोदय व केंद्र शासनाला लिहिलेले पत्र देण्यासाठी शिष्टमंडळासह आज राज्यपाल भगतसिंह कोश्यारी यांची भेट घेतली. आमच्या भावना केंद्रापर्यंत पोचविण्याची विनंती यावेळी त्यांना केली आहे. तसेच मराठा आरक्षणासंदर्भात लवकरच मा.पंतप्रधान यांची भेट घेणार असल्याची माहिती मुख्यमंत्री उद्धव ठाकरे यांनी आज येथे दिली.
राज्य शासनाच्या शिष्टमंडळासमवेत राज्यपाल भगतसिंह कोश्यारी यांची राजभवन येथे भेट घेतल्यानंतर माध्यम प्रतिनिधींशी मुख्यमंत्री श्री.ठाकरे बोलत होते. या शिष्टमंडळात उपमुख्यमंत्री अजित पवार, मराठा आरक्षण उपसमितीचे अध्यक्ष अशोक चव्हाण, महसूल मंत्री बाळासाहेब थोरात, गृहमंत्री दिलीप वळसे पाटील, नगर विकास मंत्री एकनाथ शिंदे, जलसंपदा मंत्री जयंत पाटील, आमदार नाना पटोले यांचा समावेश होता. यावेळी शिष्टमंडळाने राज्यपालांना मराठा आरक्षणासंदर्भात केंद्र सरकारने पाऊले उचलण्याबाबत राष्ट्रपती व केंद्र शासनाला विनंती करणारे पत्र राज्यपाल महोदयांना दिले.
माध्यमांशी बोलताना मुख्यमंत्री श्री.ठाकरे म्हणाले, सर्वोच्च न्यायालयाने निकाल देताना सांगितले होते की, आरक्षण देण्याचा अधिकार राष्ट्रपती व केंद्र शासनाचा आहे. या निर्णयाच्या अनुषंगाने केंद्र शासनाने यात लक्ष घालून लवकरात लवकर पाऊले उचलावीत, अशी विनंती करणारे पत्र मा. राष्ट्रपती महोदय व केंद्र शासनाला लिहिले आहे. आपल्यामार्फत हे पत्र मा.राष्ट्रपती व केंद्र शासनाकडे पाठवावे, अशी विनंती राज्यपाल श्री. कोश्यारी यांना केली आहे. सर्वोच्च न्यायालयाच्या निकालानंतर समाजाच्या भावना लक्षात घेऊन केंद्र शासनाला याबाबत विनंती करायचे ठरविले आणि त्यानुसार आज राज्यपालांना भेटून पहिले पाऊल टाकले आहे. आमचे म्हणणे ऐकून यासंदर्भात केंद्र शासनाकडे राज्यपाल महोदय कळवतील.
मराठा आरक्षणाचा कायदा विधिमंडळात सर्व पक्षांनी एकमुखाने संमत केला आहे, जनतेच्या भावनांचा आदर ठेवून हा निर्णय झाला, तो न्यायालयात टिकला नसला तरी सरकार म्हणून आम्ही सर्व या समाजाच्या भावनांशी सहमत आहोत. मराठा समाजाने नेहमीच समजूतदारपणा दाखवला आहे. आरक्षण प्रश्नी सरकार त्यांच्यासोबत आहे, याची समाजाला कल्पना आहे, ते सरकारच्या विरोधात नाहीत. त्यामुळे मी पूर्वी देखील मराठा समाजाला धन्यवाद दिले आहेत आणि आता आपल्या माध्यमातून परत धन्यवाद देतो, असेही मुख्यमंत्र्यांनी यावेळी सांगितले.
मराठा समाजाला आरक्षणाचा न्याय हक्क मिळाला पाहिजे, हीच आमची भूमिका आहे. आरक्षणाचा हा प्रश्न फक्त एका राज्याचा विषय नाही. तर देशातील अनेक राज्यांचा प्रश्न आहे. राज्यांचा अधिकार अबाधित राहावेत, यासाठीही केंद्र शासनाकडे पाठपुरावा करू, असेही मुख्यमंत्री उद्धव ठाकरे यांनी यावेळी सांगितले.
पत्रकार परिषदेपूर्वी राज्यपाल श्री. कोश्यारी यांना शिष्टमंडळाने निवेदनाचे पत्र दिले. यावेळी मराठा आरक्षण विषयक उपसमितीचे अध्यक्ष अशोक चव्हाण यांनी मराठा आरक्षणप्रश्नी सर्वोच्च न्यायालयाचा निकाल आणि त्या अनुषंगाने राज्यपाल महोदयांना माहिती दिली. यावेळी श्री.चव्हाण म्हणाले की, सर्व पक्षाने सहमतीने मराठा आरक्षणाचा कायदा केला होता. मात्र, सर्वोच्च न्यायालयाने केंद्रीय मागास आयोगाचा व राष्ट्रपती महोदयांचा अधिकार असल्याचे निकालात नमूद केले आहे. त्यामुळे राज्याचे पालक म्हणून राज्यपाल महोदयांनी केंद्र शासनाकडे तसेच मा.राष्ट्रपती महोदयांकडे या प्रश्नी राज्याची बाजू मांडावी. याप्रश्नी राज्यपाल महोदयांची भूमिका महत्त्वाची असून मराठा समाजाला न्याय मिळवून द्यावा.
